Homemade Pumpkin Spice Latte Recipe

Nothing says fall quite like a pumpkin spice latte. The smell, the warmth, the cozy flavor, it’s the ultimate autumn comfort drink. But store-bought versions are packed with sugar and additives, not to mention the price tag.

Making your own at home is not only cheaper but tastes even better because you’re using real ingredients.

A Latte With Real Pumpkin Flavor

This recipe gives you that same rich, spiced flavor you’d expect from your favorite café , just without all the unnecessary additions. It’s made with real pumpkin puree, natural spices, and your choice of milk.

You can even make it dairy-free with coconut, almond, oat, or macadamia milk(Macadamia milk froths beautifully and adds a creamy texture!)

If you’re using canned pumpkin, you can freeze the leftover puree in ice cube trays for future batches or toss it into pancakes, smoothies, or baked treats later.

Ingredients:

– 2 shots espresso (or ½ cup strong brewed coffee)

– 1 cup milk (dairy or your favorite non-dairy alternative)

– 3 tablespoons pumpkin puree

– ½–1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice (adjust to taste)

– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

– 1–2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup

– Whipped cream or whipped coconut cream for topping (optional but highly recommended!)

Step-by-Step preparation

– Brew your coffee or espresso. Pour it into your favorite mug and stir in the honey or maple syrup so it dissolves while hot.

– Warm the pumpkin mix. In a small pot, whisk together your milk, pumpkin puree, and pumpkin spice. Heat gently on medium-low until it’s steaming,  but don’t let it boil.

– Add the vanilla once you remove it from heat.

– Froth it up. Use a blender, frother, or immersion blender to create that foamy, café-style texture.

– Combine and top. Pour the pumpkin milk mixture over your sweetened coffee. Finish with a dollop of whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon or extra spice on top.

Extra Tips for the Perfect Latte

Whole milk gives the creamiest result, but almond, cashew, or macadamia milk also froth really well.

You can double or triple the recipe for family or friends or keep a larger batch warm in a slow cooker for gatherings.

For an iced version, use cold brew coffee and blend everything with ice.

Add a scoop of protein powder or collagen for a creamy texture and a little nutrition boost.

Why You’ll Love It?

You get all the cozy flavor of a pumpkin spice latte without the sugar overload. Every sip is smooth, lightly sweet, and full of warm fall spices that support your body with antioxidants and natural energy. Plus, you get to control what goes in , real pumpkin, real spice, and none of the unnecessary extras.

This is one of those drinks that makes you look forward to chilly mornings.

Once you try it, you might never go back to the coffee shop version again.
